Today, we nearly finished the research part of the project. We now move on to the realization of the project. We have decided to use photoshop to put everything together and we have decided to use the recommended website desighing program in order to present the information about the three museums we chose. Now, the only thing left to decide is whether if all the home pages shall be combined or we will have a single webpage that leads onto our seperate home pages.

Today, I finished the history museum page. I also revised my home page and linked two of the completed webpages to the main page. During the next period, I will complete the poster and the power point for our project while my partner will finish the last page of our museum website. Moreover, I will finish all connection required for the project. If everything goes well next course, we shall be done on schedule

Today, I started the home page of our website. I have done 3/4 of the total work on it and my partner also started the webpage for the polk county museum of art. We have done quite some work and we plan to continue this next course. During the next period, we plan to finish the home page and the art museum page. We will also start to work on other webpages and we will link all the webpages together. Overall, we are proud of the results we have achieved today.

Today, we finished the design for the webpages where the information would be presented. We also chose 3 museums from the ones we have found and we have started to search for informations about these locations. The museums we chose are the Polk county Historical Museum, the Polk museum of Art and the Fantasy of flight Museum. 

Today, we laid out the design of our homepage and information pages. We did sketches of them and started to search for icon pictures for the main webpage. Although the background picture of the homepage was not what we initially planned, most of the ideas were left unchanged. For next time, we decided to finish our research and we shall start to put everything together when it is done. If everything goes well, we would start to create the website soon enough.

The organization of the website is going to be a museum hall where several objects are presented to the visitor. Each of them represents a specific museum and its content. To learn more about the museum's subject, location, description, schedule, date of construction and more, the user can click on one of the icons of displayed object to find out more. For example, the Polk County Historical Museum is represented by a Spanish morion (helmet). If one is selected, it would redirect to another link where all information about the museum would be found. The background color of the websites except the main lobby page would be magenta and pictures would complement the written texts. Those photos will give an insight on the museum's location on a Polk County map, the building itself and various rooms and hallways inside. There will also be a frame for all the web pages of the website. They shall also represent the themes of the museums, but it is only an adornment and can be removed if it proves to be too complex.

Today, we decided to add more to the home page of our part of the website. We have decided to keep the original ideas and designs, but we have come to a conclusion that it would be a little too simple and it needs to offer more options to the users. For instance, we decided to add a home button that would redirect the user back to the main webpage. There will also be writings on the icons and we have decided to add a frame to our main page. A map that would appear when hovering over a museum icon and show the location of the museum may also be an element we might consider to add. Only time shall dictate the content of the website. During this period, we also started to search for information about our museums. Next time, we would like to continue the research and find more interesting ideas to include in our project.
