Ashton and I sketched out our light strip and panel for above the user's door. We decided on which supplies we will use to create our project. It will consist of 12 colored LEDs, a battery box, a resistor, a toggle switch and connecting wires. Today we made a electronic circuit similar to the ones we plan to use in the final prototype. We realized that the circuit needs to a circular connection instead of the original parallel design we started with. Also, as we debated between a switch, button, and toggle switch; we realized that the switch included an extra option we didn't need and the button would only turn on the LED when the button was physically being pushed. Therefore, we went with the toggle switch to ensure the light would stay on until the user wanted it off. We also started to design our strip box on Rhino to see what a prototype will look like.
