Zach and I's class experience today was pretty terrible. Our project that we've been working and innovating on got called stupid by a Nuvu Coach herself. Sooooo we decided to recreate our flea decking it out with colors, feathers, and even a flag. Not so stupid now is it? Clearly we're bitter since its the last class before demo day and we aren't in this class by choice. I thought we had a good project but guess not. Our hopes are at an all time low. Praying for a better class next year.
Today we decided we were making the best project on campus. Our amazing flea will not only be able to jump...but zip line. That's right ASA, we are making something new, something incredible, something out of this world. This amazing jumping flea will have a brother flea that will be able to go across the room on a zip line faster than you can say Nuvu. Good luck other groups. Big things coming from the bugs studio. Big things..
Today we finished the design of a rolling flea and also came up with a design for creating another amazing super duper cool flea that jumps around that is modeled after a crazy super fun smiley face toy. Big things are coming from this group. Big things. We're taking ASA by storm.
Today I worked on creating a new jumping mechanism. The idea is to load the legs and release whatever is holding them and that will launch the amazing super awesome flea miles into the sky. It has not worked yet but I will innovate to create the flea of all fleas.
By so far, we finished our prototype so we move on to learn about the mechanism of our robot. We learned some aero dynamic physics from Ryan which gave us a general guide for our next step. Our next step is to design some linkages and wings and play with them. That will help us to find a way to make our bug fly in the sky
Dragonflies can fly at 100 body-lengths per second, and three lengths per second backwards.
1. Name: ladybugs(Coccinellidae)
2. Physical features: 6 legs; red or orange; one dot in the middle; the number of dots represents their age (myth); the shell protects its wings and predators; they can smell better than they can see.
