By using a box designer, it allows us to manipulate the box in Rhino in order to make it unique and add what is needed for the project, such as notches or designs.  Also by placing the notches together, we can trim down the time it takes to get cut and the laser cutter will have fewer cuts to produce.

From the process today I experienced in NUVU, one of the main things I learned was the command "Make 2D".  I did not realize the text on my keychain was a 3D object, so I had to make it 2D in order for it to cut properly.  This class time also allowed me to become more confident in Rhino.
