We are Storytellers Introduction Assignment

Intro to Storytelling

Anna Foppe

Activity 1

We are all in the car; my mom is driving, my sister in the passenger seat, my best friend on my left, and my little brother on my right, and we are on our way to the movie theater. As we are driving, My mom gets a call. After a while of listening in, it becomes clear that it is my horse's owner Lisa on the phone. They continue talking for a few more minutes before hanging up. A few seconds of silence pass before my mom turns to me with a pitiful look on her face as she tells me, "The vet said that Melvin (my lease horse) hurt a ligament in his leg, and he can't be ridden for at least six months, I'm sorry."

Activity 2

Part A: The Nightmare Before Christmas, Storm Rider, and The Lovely Bones. The Nightmare Before Christmas is my favorite movie because it is a fun movie, but at the same time, you can rewatch it over and over again but interpret the plot and details differently everytime. I like Storm Rider because I can kind of relate to the story and the plot because I can imagine what the main character goes through emotionally and mentally and what might be going through her mind throughout the plot. I like The Lovely Bones because it takes you through all these different aspects of a terrible situation.
